About the Role:

Join our Xfinity Order Management System (XOMS) team as a Software Development Engineer. You will design and build scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot, contribute to CI/CD automation with Jenkins, and leverage observability tools to ensure system reliability. We value not only technical expertise but also strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

What Youll Do:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using Jenkins.
  • Integrate and utilize observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Kibana, AppDynamics) for monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Skills & Experience Were Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and Jenkins.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and automated testing frameworks.
