Rapidly Growing global human and animal nutrition company is seeking an Analytical Technician on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded new grad with a minimum of 2 years of experience within a research environment!
**Type of Job:** Contract
**Pay:** $24/hr
**Responsibilities:**
+ Preparation of reagents and media for assays and performing assays as directed
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
+ Conduct regular equipment validation and maintenance checks.
+ Execute a range of laboratory techniques and protocols related to analytical chemistry.
+ Assist the Senior Research Scientist in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new protocols.
+ Interpret and adapt experimental protocols from literature
+ Perform streak plating techniques for bacterial sample isolation.
+ Conduct bacterial enumeration for various sample types.
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelors degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related field with 2+ years of related experience
+ Experience performing various assays and techniques (bacterial enumeration, microbial assays, spectrophotometric assays, serial dilutions, etc)
+ Preferred to have experience with PCR, microbial plating, ELISA assays, and SDS-PAGE
