**Food Scientist opportunity at a leading manufacturer of dietary fibers sourced from natural plant-based raw materials.**

**Food Scientist**

Schoolcraft, MI

**90k-100k DOE**

+ Support the Sales and Marketing teams and providing technical expertise and custom application development using hydrocolloid, pectin and alginates.

+ Develop and demonstrate product functionality in food systems, assist customers with formulation challenges, and contribute to the growth of the ingredient portfolio.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Develop and support food applications showcasing ingredient benefits.

+ Provide technical support to Sales, including customer visits, presentations, and product demos.

+ Evaluate new raw materials and recommend application opportunities.

+ Create technical documentation, including brochures and data sheets.

+ Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows, and conferences.

+ Train internal teams on ingredient functionality and applications.

**Qualifications:**

+ BS/MS/PhD in Food Science or related field.

+ Product development/formulation, with expertise in hydrocolloids (pectin, alginate, modified cellulose).

+ Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, FSIS regulations, GMPs, SOPs, and food processing.
