Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a QC Chemist at a leading client in the greater a Houston area.

The QC Chemist is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials and products through rigorous testing and analysis in compliance with all relevant regulatory and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Conduct chemical, physical, and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Perform routine and non-routine tests using analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, and other laboratory equipment.
Accurately document and analyze test results, ensuring compliance with GMP/GLP standards.
Participate in method development and validation processes as needed.
Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
Prepare and standardize reagents, solutions, and test materials as required.
Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment inventory.
Identify and report deviations or non-conformance issues and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality and manufacturing operations.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field is required.
1-3 years of experience in a quality control laboratory, preferably in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or biomanufacturing industries.
Proficiency with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV-Vis is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of GMP/GLP regulations and quality standards.
Excellent documentation and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask effectively.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and work in a lab environment.

Pay Rate:
Pay rate dependent upon level of education and experience

Work Schedule:
Monday Friday, 1st Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, with some flexibility. (May include longer hours or weekend OT as needed.)
