What you will do:
- Maintain mammalian cell culture including thawing, passaging, expansion, cell banking, and inventory management.
- Generate recombinant cell lines including transfection, selection, enrichment, single cell cloning, clonal expansion, and cell banking.
- Establish Epstein-Barr virus transformed cell lines from PBMCs.
- Characterize cell lines by cell count & viability analyzer, antigen expression by flow cytometry, cell line identity by molecular typing, and cell line sterility by mycoplasma testing.
- Perform scale-up study studies to support process development and production.
- Purify antigen or antibody. Perform biochemical and biophysical characterizations including concentration determination, affinity chromatography, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, ELISA, and Luminex.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot experiments involving various cell lines.
- Develop and refine aseptic techniques to ensure contamination-free cell culture.
- Perform studies or investigations under the mentorship of Cell Biology manager.
- Carry out lab duties including preparing buffers, reagents and media, maintaining lab supplies, and supporting other functions in the group.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments, protocols, and results.
- Compile and analyze data to complete an update or report.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals and timelines.
- Give oral presentations at internal meetings.
- Perform all activities in compliance with GDP, GMP, regulatory and safety policies.

EDUCATION
B.S. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, or a related field in Biological Sciences required. M.S. highly preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of research/lab experience required
- Hands-on cell culture and scientific data analysis experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Clear understanding of cell culture, cell line development and cell banking principles and practices.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and maintaining sterile environments.
- Strong communication, documentation (organization and record-keeping), and presentation skills.
- Capable of multi-tasking and good time management.
- Strong problem-solving skills, identifying root causes, and proposing alternative approaches and feasible solutions.
- Ability to perform multi-tasks and balance priorities to meet company goals.
- Ability to work in a cross functional environment.
- Flexible with changing plans and schedules.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $72,600.00$108,900.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
