Quality Control Inspector Job Description We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Quality Control Technician to perform a variety of technical inspections. The role involves measuring objects against their intended physical specifications and identifying defects. Inspections will be carried out on parts coming in from vendors and those machined on site. Proficiency in using basic measuring tools, including manual micrometers, and the ability to read from a basic tape measure are essential. Responsibilities Perform inspections to assess product quality. Use tools such as micrometers and other calibrated tools to measure products. Read blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Analyze data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards. Recommend modifications to existing standards, methods, and procedures. Accept or reject finished products and tag/remove products that don't meet specifications. Essential Skills Working knowledge of calibrated test tools and equipment. Ability to read rulers on 1/8th, 1/16th, 1/32nd, and 1/64th scales. Proficiency with metric and standard measurement tools. Ability to use micrometers, verniers, and calipers. Additional Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on inspection experience on parts. Proficiency with measurements and technical drawings. Record keeping and computer skills. Work Environment The position operates on the 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility to start earlier or run later based on needs.
