Software Development Engineer (SDE) Duration: 12 Months Location: Atlanta, Georgia 30308 Client: State Of Georgia Note: Onsite role, so preferred local candidate. Job Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled and motivated software development engineer (SDE) to join our technology team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software systems. A valid certification in software development (such as a coding boot camp certificate, Microsoft, AWS Developer Certification, or equivalent) is required, demonstrating foundational proficiency in software engineering principles and modern development practices.
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable software applications using languages such as Java, Python, or C#
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code, following industry best practices
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues
- Contribute to code reviews and documentation
- Certificate in Software Development, Computer Science, or related area
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools
- Exposure to REST APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
