About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced RD&A Senior Scientist to join our Coffee & Crystals team. This role will focus on supporting coffee technology projects, including roasting, extraction, and vacuum dry processing. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to help drive innovation and deliver value to our customers.
Key responsibilities
+ Lead and/or participate in Commercial Coffee & Crystals projects.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with Applications, Sales, and Marketing teams to support customer presentations and product development.
+ Provide technical support in roasting, extraction, and vacuum drying processes to enhance Kerrys coffee and crystals offerings.
+ Participate in production trials, requiring flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
+ Translate scientific insights into practical applications that meet customer and market needs.
Qualifications and skills
+ Bachelors or Masters degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
+ 35 years of experience in the food industry, preferably with a focus on coffee or beverage technologies.
+ Strong understanding of coffee processing technologies including roasting, extraction, and drying.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Willingness to travel for production trials and customer engagements.
Preferred Attributes:
+ Experience with commercial coffee product development.
+ Familiarity with vacuum drying and crystal formation processes.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and deliver results.
The typical hiring range for this role is $75,602 to $123,432 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
