The Crump Institute for Molecular Imaging is seeking to hire a motivated Staff Research Associate I to assist Assist in vivo imaging experiments (PET, CT, MRI, Optical, SPECT). Scans research animals by PET imaging, CT imaging, MRI imaging, optical imaging, and SPECT imaging, to understand diseases and therapeutic responses. Provides analysis of scans. Prepare research animals for imaging and therapy. Perform basic radiolabeling of peptides and proteins with radiometal chelation. Maintain lab research environment according to biosafety and radiation safety regulations

Target hourly rate: $26.52-$31.63

Qualifications

Required:

  • Basic understanding of biology, animal physiology, and molecular imaging research;
  • Organized and detail-oriented; maintains up-to-date, accurate and organized schedules and records on a timely basis;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff, postdocs, and students about basic imaging theory, techniques and protocols;
  • Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines; Experience in working with small animals;
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, etc;
  • Skilled at writing reports and working with spreadsheets, databases, and email;
  • Ability to follow directions and to both work independently and to work well with a team when needed; Knowledge of Radiation Safety requirements.
