Organization and Position Overview :
Lilly recently announced a $4.5 billion investment to create the Lilly Medicine Foundry, a new center for advanced manufacturing and drug development. The first-ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location , the Medicine Foundry will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, while also reducing costs and environmental impact.
In the Project Delivery Phase and Startup Phase of the project (2025 to 2028), roles will be fluid and dynamic as we endeavor to support the project delivery, build a new organization, develop and implement the necessary systems and business processes required to support GMP operations. This will require significant collaboration, creativity and resilience as the Lilly Medicine Foundry goes from design, to start-up, and to steady-state operations.
The Laboratory Informatics Scientist role , a technical-track position , seeks a collaborative, inclusive, and energetic individual who will be responsible for monitoring laboratory performance to ensure that the Lilly Medicine Foundry laborato ries maintain a state of control regarding the generation and reporting of analyticaldata. The role will initially involve interacting with global and local IT support functions to populate master data, configure systems, and assist with installing and qualifying laboratory IT systems such as LIMS/LES, MODA, ELN , CDS, and other lab systems.The role will evolve into monitoring, execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Laboratory IT Systems for the Lilly Medicine Foundry laborato ries with an emphasis on continuous improvement, focused on data integrity. This role will serve as a representative for laboratory IT systems and will be responsible for mentoring and educating peers on the use of lab systems, supporting audits, and oversight for management reviews, laboratory metrics, laboratory equipment, and laboratory documentation.
Responsibilities :
Performs and/or supports the laboratory with the validation of laboratory equipment and software systems .
Supports the establishment and maintenance of the validated state of software-based computerized systems in use in the lab .
Assists with Site Deployment and upgrade of Lilly Medicine Foundry Laboratory IT Systems .
Acts as a contact SME f or Lilly Medicine Foundry Laboratory IT Systems .
Collects data and authors management review documents for the laboratory quality system .
Supports continuous improvement of quality systems as they relate to the Lilly Medicine Foundry lab oratories.
Develop training materials for laboratory informatics systems .
Supports audit and inspection activities for the laboratory spaces.
Plan and manage short-term and long-term development activities. Develop and/or review technical agendas and timelines for project work. Recommend resource allocation to accomplish projects according to plans, communicate progress and propose changes in timeline, objectives , or direction .

Ensure work and team activities are aligned with all relevant development quality, regulatory, HSE, GLP and GMP requirements.
Basic Requirements:
B.S. in computer science, information systems, chemistry, chemical engineering , biology, or related field with 5 + years of experience in GMP Laboratory IT Systems (Installation and Qualification of Laboratory It Systems, Population of Master Data, and Configuration of S ystems) .
Fundamental knowledge of cGMP compliance requirements and cGMP experience .
Additional Preferences:
Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office products, LIMS, Laboratory Execution Systems, chromatography systems, electronic laboratory notebook systems including implementation of systems .
Demonstrated ability to drive and accept change.
Good interpersonal skills and a sustained tendency for collaboration .
Demonstrated success in persuasion, influence, and negotiation.
Ability to prioritize multiple activities and manage ambiguity.
Must possess strong communication (oral, written), organizational, and leadership skills .
Other Information:
Initial location at Lilly Technology Center, Indianapolis .
Permanent location at the new Lilly Medicine Foundry in Lebanon, Indiana .
F lexibility to work from Indianapolis (or other Lilly sites) may be required throughout 2025 and 2026 .
Position requires on -site presence, 8-hour days, five days per week, with flexibility to support activities during shutdowns, weekends, etc.
0-10% travel required .

Actual compensation will depend on a candidates education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,000 - $162,800Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
