The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $28.04 - $45.09 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications:- BA/BS in natural sciences (preferably biology or chemistry) or a related science and one or more years of recent, directly related work experience, utilizing the techniques or methods required by the position; and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Practical knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques and cloning
- Sterile technique and mammalian cell culture skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Math skills required for everyday calculations
- Familiarity with nuclear gene function
- Familiarity with Statistics
- Familiarity with R or Python
- Experience in sophisticated cell biology techniques including flow cytometry and work with sophisticated human cell models including iPSC-derived cells or primary cells
- Familiarity in studying the effects of specific genes across cell types and disease areas.
