Job Title: Chemistry Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated PhD Chemist to join our team as a Chemistry Manager. This role is pivotal in advancing our research efforts by developing new tests and ensuring our protocols and procedures are consistently updated. As the on-site expert, you will serve as the technical reviewer for all chemistry department tests before they proceed to Quality Assurance. This position offers a clear progression path to a long-term Director role.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop new tests to enhance our capabilities.
- Maintain and update standards, protocols, and procedures on an annual basis.
- Serve as the technical reviewer for all tests conducted by the chemistry department.
- Oversee and manage a team of five chemists.
- Monitor team performance and provide guidance and support.
- Assist with audits and participate in management and leadership meetings at the site.
Essential Skills
- PhD in Chemistry, with a preference for Analytical Chemistry.
- Proficiency in Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry.
- Familiarity with Inorganic Chemistry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with basic instrument usage, preferably HPLC or TOC.
Work Environment
The role predominantly involves working in a laboratory and office setting. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on research and development. The position is a salaried contract-to-hire role, offering 2 weeks of PTO and paid holidays during the contract period.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
