Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the R&D activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience. In this role, you will leverage your creativity & technical foundation to lead product development for the Ritz Bits brand in the North American market.

How you will contribute

With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with R&D, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct development activities (e.g. partnering with suppliers, product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation etc.) and benchtop, pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practices/HACCP requirements. You will analyze and interpret results, summarized in technical reports with conclusions and recommendations as well as create and maintain accurate, consumer-led specifications.

Education / Certifications:

Bachelors in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field

Job specific requirements:

2-3 years of experience in related field.

Trave l requirements:

Up to 30% to locations in Canada, US, and Mexico

Work schedule:

This position is based in East Hanover, NJ, as main location, and Whippany as an additional location with a hybrid work model offering a mix of onsite and remote flexibility.

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $66,400 to $91,300; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
