Chemical Operator I Details:
Temporary position
$20.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
Switches to nights once trained & based on seniority
Manufactures specialty chemicals with strict attention to the quantities & procedures as indicated on the batch sheet
Reports changes made to the batch sheet & records the batch yield. Follows lab procedures
Conducts safe operation of plant equipment including, but not limited to forklifts, mixing tanks, reactors, pumps, homogenizers, vacuum pumps, etc.
Performs manual labor that routinely requires the handling of drums weighing up to 600 lbs. & lifting up to 100 lbs.
Works overtime as necessary to assure on-time delivery & operating needs
Performs all functions necessary to assure on-time delivery and manufacture of quality product. This includes but is not limited to, troubleshooting of equipment & batches and communication with other departments to obtain resources needed, such as raw material & batch sheets
Performs other tasks assigned by the the Team Leader Chemical Operator, Production Supervisor, Assistant Plant Manager, or other Site Manager
Other duties that may be assigned
Chemical Operator I Qualifications:
1-3 yrs. of chemical manufacturing experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Minimum of months forklift experience is preferred
Applicant may be subject to a background check
Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
