**Laboratory Analyst IV**

As a Laboratory Analyst IV, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of chemical processes at our site through meticulous laboratory analyses and tests. Your work supports all aspects of production, including active ingredient production, formulation production, and waste treatment. You will lead laboratory initiatives, support training for contractors, and drive research and development projects. Your expertise in analytical techniques and equipment management ensures product quality, production rates, and regulatory compliance. You are essential to maintaining control over technical production, waste treatment, and formulation production processes.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Perform and troubleshoot complex laboratory analyses and tests for process control, quality control, and process development;

+ Lead laboratory initiatives and training for contractors, supporting research and development projects;

+ Manage essential laboratory processes related to Quality Management Systems, safety, training, and continuous improvement;

+ Independently perform routine analytical testing, manage sample loads, and comply with good laboratory practices;

+ Assist in day-to-day coordination of lab tasks, plan and allocate routine workflow to team members;

+ Prepare solutions, clean glassware, dispose of waste, and train others on waste management;

+ Alert lab leadership to issues involving sample integrity, inventory, and analysis irregularities;

+ Troubleshoot testing processes, oversee out-of-spec data, and conduct preventative maintenance;

+ Operate and troubleshoot Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Chromatography Data System (CDS);

+ Record, calculate, and report analytical results promptly and accurately;

+ Lead continuous improvement projects, develop metrics and Key Performance Indicators, and communicate opportunities;

+ Collaborate with Information Technology teams to optimize lab requirements and test Information Technology system changes;

+ Maintain records to meet internal and ISO standards, perform instrument calibrations, and draft documentation;

+ Provide training on lab protocols and develop laboratory training schemes;

+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and improve lab safety strategies.

**WHO YOU ARE:**

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

**Required Qualifications:**

+ High School Diploma or GED.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 10 years of lab experience with a high school diploma or GED; OR Bachelors degree with five years of lab experience, OR AA/AS degree with 7 years of lab experience,

+ Good oral and written communication skills;

+ High attention to detail and ability to analyze outcomes against standards;

+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to optimize laboratory efficiency and productivity;

+ Knowledgeable of RCRA hazardous waste regulations and able to communicate discovery of spills and leaks.

Posting is available through August 8, 2025

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $51,968.80 - $77,953.20. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicants skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
