- Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean medical laboratory equipment.
- Analyze the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using specialized mechanical and electrical devices.
- Gather and record test data to create reports utilizing charts, graphs, and narratives.
- Obtain specimens, and cultivate, isolate, and identify microorganisms for analysis.
- Examine cells stained with dye to locate abnormalities and consult with a pathologist for a final diagnosis when abnormal cells are detected.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of diagnosing and treating human injuries and diseases.
- Competency in analyzing data and accurately documenting and recording results.
- 3-5 years of experience is required in a clinical laboratory
- Generalist experience with CORE lab, including Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urine analysis, and blood banking (blood banking is a plus but not mandatory).
- Ability to multi-task efficiently.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in medical technology or vocational training preferred.
- MLT or Bachelor's degree, ASCP or AMT certification preferred but not required
