Software Development Engineer

Job Description:

Join our dynamic Rendering Foundations Org as a Software Development Engineer, where you will provide first-level support and development for incoming production software application issues related to merchandising applications. This role involves developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing fixes for internally developed code using Perl, C/C++, and JAVA. You will perform SQL queries to improve our systems that gather metrics on our features and update tracking to resolve technical challenges. Collaborate with the development team on corporate and divisional software projects to update and enhance our current software, automate support processes, and document our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level support and development for production software application issues.
• Develop monitoring solutions and troubleshoot/debug internally developed code.
• Implement fixes using Perl, C/C++, and JAVA.
• Perform SQL queries to improve systems gathering metrics on features.
• Update tracking and resolve technical challenges.
• Collaborate with development on software projects.
• Automate support processes and document systems.
• Participate in on-call activities in a weekly rotation.
• Address urgent security risks flagged by the security team.
• Manage and restrict specific software calls.

• Proficiency in Perl, C/C++, and/or JAVA.
• Strong understanding of C++.
• Adaptability to work with Perl & Mason code.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

• Experience with Mason, Perl, CGI.
• A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
• Prior experience with large complex systems.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.70/hr.
