You'll help build out a new on-site meat science lab, work closely with cross-functional teams, and support commercialization from concept to launch.
Responsibilities:
Lead meat and protein product development (animal and plant-based)
Design and run experiments to support commercial strategy
Evaluate sensory, physical, and analytical properties of products
Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies
Collaborate across teams (Marketing, Sales, Quality, etc.)
Present solutions to customers and support sales with technical expertise
Help set up and maintain the new meat science lab
Qualifications:
Bachelor's (10+ years) or Master's (5+ years) in Food Science or related field
5+ years of hands-on meat product development
Experience with meat sticks, cold cuts, nuggets, and breaded items preferred
Strong knowledge of ingredients, manufacturing processes, and sensory evaluation
Skilled in problem-solving, data analysis, and communication
Team player who can manage multiple projects
Lab, pilot, and occasional manufacturing floor work
May require lifting, working in varied temperatures, and some travel
*Ideal Candidate will posses experience in meat application development, meat sticks, cold cuts, nuggets, breaded products etc.
