Research Associate, Biotechnology (New York, NY) - ( Hybrid Work: 2-3 days per week in office required)(multiple positions). As a member of company's biotechnology research division, conduct financial research and analysis for biotech companies and model the market sizes and revenue projections for various drugs in commercialization and in pipeline through different valuation methods. Prepare company-specific and industry-wide biotech equity research reports and presentations. Build and maintain integrated I/S, B/S, and C/F models for organizing and maintaining industry data for potential investments in biotechnology companies. Draft investor notes on companies' news flows including earnings, clinical updates, regulatory decisions and scenario analysis on the potential readouts, physician survey for the potential drugs. Analyze, and interpret information from a range of financial data sources to provide clients information to make investment decisions. Write and produce equity research reports, company initiations, and marketing presentations in the biotechnology industry. Conduct company modeling for financial markets in the biotechnology industry. Collaborate with Senior Research Analysts and Equity Research Associates on all aspects of developing the research product. Hybrid Work: 2-3 days per week in office required. Salary: $115,731 to $140,000 per year. Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Chemistry or a related field and two (2) years work experience in the job offered or in a or a related position conducting financial analysis in a pharmaceutical research organization. Also requires two (2) years of experience in each: 1) Ability to search and interpret scientific and pharmaceutical medical publications and presentations; 2) Analyze individual biotechnology companies to build and update fully integrated financial and valuation models; 3) Write comprehensive biotech equity research reports and present findings on relevant investment themes, events and breaking news; 4) Conduct fundamental analysis and investment research in equity markets with an emphasis on bottom-up research in the biotechnology sector; and 5) Organize experts/KOLs/physician calls/surveys for investors and investor events.
