Position Summary
The Laboratory Services Quality Technician I supports the Quality Control team by performing basic laboratory tasks, inspections, and documentation under close supervision. This entry-level role is responsible for assisting in routine quality control activities, maintaining lab cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIESEssential Functions & Accountabilities
- Follow corporate and Quality Control policies and procedures.
- Perform basic quality control testing and inspections under supervision.
- Assist with material inspection and sample handling.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with cGLP/cGMP and GDP.
- Use laboratory systems (e.g., QMS, LIS) with guidance.
- Support environmental monitoring activities.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and calibration scheduling.
- Participate in lab housekeeping and supply inventory.
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow biosafety protocols (BSL-2).
- Support documentation and filing activities.
- Participate in training and competency assessments.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Escalate deviations or issues to senior staff or management.
- Work under direct supervision and follow detailed instructions.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation.
- Support audit preparation by organizing records.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic understanding of laboratory practices and safety.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- This role requires to take on additional roles to perform High Complexity testing (example: Testing Personnel, General Supervisor) and/or perform additional functions (example: high complexity testing) that are regulated by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). In such cases, the Laboratory Director and General Supervisor shall determine eligibility based on additional requirements such as: Internal company and CLIA baseline educational, training and experience.
Experience:
- 01 year of laboratory or quality control experience preferred (internships or academic labs acceptable).
- Basic understanding of certification principles such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 13485 etc.
- Proficiency with software and statistical analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
