Senior AI Development Engineer

Job Description:
Arizona State University. Act as a solutions architect for web-based applications hosted on AWS. Understand new developments in the field of Generative AI by reading research papers. Act as a primary developer on a team project from backend to frontend coding. Responsible for the maintenance and optimization of AWS infrastructure by using Terraform. Responsible for the maintenance of ASU platform python code using autogen, langchain, composio libraries. Learn new technologies such as libraries and frameworks necessary to complete a project such as peft, transformers, etc. Perform hands-on solutions design, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, as required in the support of current and new projects from the knowledge acquired from research papers and other best practices. Work on all Phases of a project such as development, QA/testing, production support, etc. Communicate with team regarding status updates sometimes through publishing whitepapers. Training tiny models such as BERT/BART from scratch to solve a very niche use case. Finetuning a small/large language model as per the requirements and design choices. Support architectural and development guidelines and best practices. Fix bugs and identify areas for improvement. Responsible for fostering culture, advancing ASU's value and championing engagement in all its forms such as, collaborating across ASU's teams as well as participating in ET/ASU events and programs.
