Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

This role involves performing analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. The lab technician will respond promptly and accurately to technical inquiries and communicate effectively with customers to address technical questions and resolve concerns. Additionally, the role includes formulating finished products to showcase and promote the company's manufactured raw chemicals and developing technical documentation such as Technical Data Sheets for all manufactured chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to technical inquiries via email and other communication channels.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, addressing technical questions and resolving concerns with professionalism.
  • Formulate finished products that showcase and promote the company's manufactured raw chemicals.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as Technical Data Sheets (TDS), for all manufactured chemicals.
  • Support various technical department functions, including entering Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), evaluating new chemical products for portfolio compatibility, and other standard technical tasks.

  • Personable and knowledgeable to handle technical customer requests related to cosmetic formulation
  • Strong soft skills, capable of socializing with team members
  • Entering Certificates of Analysis and working with new chemicals

Work Environment

This role will start as a part-time position, scheduled Monday-Friday from 9 am to 3 pm, and may transition into a full-time role with hours from 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday. The team fosters a close-knit family culture with 20 members, offering an open forum for questions and continuous support. The organization is well-equipped with internal systems and operations, providing ample resources for success. Employees have the opportunity to pivot into other roles, engage directly with customers, and participate in monthly team events such as Cornhole, Happy Hour, and Bowling to encourage team bonding.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
