Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve existing chemical processes to enhance efficiency, yield, and safety in the gasification process.
- Provide technical support and guidance in process chemistry to plant operators and other engineering staff.
- Identify and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Collect and analyze process data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead and participate in projects aimed at process improvement, including design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations and standards, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of process changes, improvements, and standard operating procedures.
- Work closely with other departments, including maintenance, quality control, and environmental health and safety, to ensure integrated and efficient plant operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in a refinery, petrochemical environment, or any type of PSM (Process Safety Management) facility.
- Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles and process chemistry.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex process issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
- Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
- In-depth understanding of safety regulations and best practices in chemical processing environments.
