Job Description We are seeking a dedicated chemist to support printer testing and participate in reformulation work. This role involves qualifying reformulation ink and new ink within various printer platforms, maintaining printers, and producing solvent and water-based inks. The chemist will independently validate designs for ink shelf stability, application testing, and properties analysis. Regular organization, documentation, and data updates are essential tasks, along with performing wet chemistry and calibration using viscometer, pH, and resistivity meters. Responsibilities
- Support printer testing and reformulation work.
- Qualify reformulation ink and new ink in printer platforms.
- Maintain and operate printers.
- Produce solvent and water-based inks.
- Independently validate designs for ink shelf stability and application testing.
- Organize, document, and update data regularly.
- Perform wet chemistry and calibrations using viscometer, pH, and resistivity meters.
- Lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in chemistry, laboratory procedures, and wet chemistry techniques.
- Experience with titration, pH measurement, viscometer, viscosity, and resistivity meter.
- At least 1+ years of industry experience preferred, specifically in ink, paints, or coatings.
- Experience in inks, adhesives, polymers, coating, and paints industry is a plus.
- Research experience from school is advantageous.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
