Position Overview
The Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development is hiring a part-time research associate to provide operations and administrative support to the Director of Global Education Research. The research associate will assist with grant program management as well as conduct research and evaluation around global education issues. The percentage of appointment for this position is variable depending on applicantas availability with an expected range of 20-35% (8-14 hours per week). This is a 12-month annual renewable appointment with an anticipated start of September 2025.

Job Responsibilities
Grant Program Management (50%)
- Identify, support and collaborate on successful implementation of externally funded research projects.
- (co) Develop proposals and applications to external bodies for funding purposes.
- Identify and facilitate colleaguesa involvement in interdisciplinary grants.
- Organize relevant events and meetings to develop proposals, support interdisciplinary research capacity building, and knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate with Director of Global Education Research, and other key stakeholders, such as donors, thought-partners, and grantees.
Conduct Research & Evaluation (25%)
- Provide relevant expertise and technical knowledge for research projects.
- Assist in designing and implementing research studies, ensuring adherence to protocols and timelines
- Conduct relevant reviews of literature and scan global education issues to inform research strategies and projects.
- Assist in the preparation of research findings for presentations and publications.
Other Duties (25%)
- Maintain accurate records of funders, partners, and research activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support global education research objectives
- May attend local and international conferences to present on global education research initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS degree plus at least six (6) years of relevant experience, or advanced degree plus at least four (4) years of relevant experience
- Evidence of a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through research, teaching, and/or service/outreach.
- Knowledge of the global education funding landscape and of higher education institutional processes for collaborative grants.
- Strong research and writing skills, including the ability to develop compelling narratives for grant proposals.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with complex and sensitive issues.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience conducting interdisciplinary research.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in relevant field (e.g., education, social science, research)
- Experience with international grantmaking regulations.
