objective The primary function of a QC Chemist is to perform qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analysis in support of raw materials, in-process samples, components, and finished drug products testing. Essential functions A CI follows TMs and completes routine testing with supervision. A CI understands USP concepts for routine testing A CI is developing oral and written communication skills. A CI meets 'GDP' for their documents A CI has basic lab-work skills and a basic understanding of chemical testing equipment and processes A CI has understands basic cGMP, DEA regulations, and Quality Procedures for working in a QC Lab A CI complies results as directed, understands the basic concepts of the evaluation of analytical data (data integrity) A CI can identify when basic technical problems occur and seeks help to solve them A CI has a basic understanding of lab instruments and equipment and uses sound scientific principles Specialized Tech Support - Routine testing with supervision Instrumentation - Clean-up and maintenance Documentation Review - Understand "GDP' 2PV of solutions Accountability Budget - A CI orders materials as needed with supervision Self and Group Development - A CI recognizes deficiencies in basic areas for self Documentation - A CI documents activities in procedure/lab notebooks with supervision Ethics - Has declarative and procedural knowledge of "Data Integrity and Ethics" Supervision A CI works under direct supervision No supervision of others Work environment This role operates in a professional office environment business casual/casual attire is required. This role requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. Physical demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
