responsibilities:
  • Design and execute experiments supporting discovery and preclinical development of ocular gene therapies
  • Generate proof-of-concept data and contribute to therapeutic candidate selection
  • Lead lab-based research projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
  • Prepare technical reports, experimental protocols, and scientific presentations
  • Contribute scientific insights to drive research priorities and project advancement

qualifications:
Required Skills:

  • Master's degree with 3+ years of ocular research experience (industry preferred), or PhD with 0-2 years of postdoctoral training
  • Hands-on experience in ocular disease biology, including in vivo or in vitro ocular models
  • Strong molecular biology lab skills and familiarity with protein/nucleic acid assays
  • Effective presentation and scientific communication skills
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced research setting
Preferred Skills:

  • Background in gene therapy or vector development
  • Experience with histology or tissue-based assays
  • Familiarity with lab automation or high-throughput screening methods
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in biotech or pharma environments
