Job Description We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Chemistry. The ideal candidate will have experience with FTIR, Spectroscopy, XRF, and Wet Chemistry. You will perform routine and semi-routine chemical and physical analyses to support fluid analysis, research and development, and production activities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and semi-routine chemical and physical analyses on materials.
- Conduct laboratory tests on process chemicals/fluids.
- Adhere to the principles of the Quality System.
- Perform tests according to defined methods.
- Record data accurately and concisely.
- Recognize and respond to out-of-specification data.
- Report data to internal customers.
- Make laboratory preparations under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of laboratory equipment.
- Complete assigned work in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all lab safety guidelines.
- Provide support to lower level technicians.
- Perform new procedures without direct supervision.
- Calibrate and maintain equipment.
- Interact with internal and external customers.
- Conduct quality testing to determine pH, Alkalinity, melting point, viscosity, and IR spectroscopy.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Chemistry.
- Experience with FTIR, Spectroscopy, XRF, and Wet Chemistry.
- Understanding of laboratory tests and quality control procedures.
- Strong analytical chemistry skills including titration.
- Experience in fluid analysis.
- Ability to handle the setup and testing of multiple samples simultaneously.
- Knowledge of ISO-9001 standards.
