**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Scientist to join our molecular and cellular biology team. This individual will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing scientific experiments to support assay development and biomarker discovery efforts. The role demands strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

**Title:** Scientist II Molecular Assay Development

**Pay rate:** $39 $41/ hr.

**Location:** Fairfield County, CT

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Design, plan, and execute experiments independently to meet defined scientific objectives.

+ Develop, optimize, and validate new assays with minimal supervision.

+ Culture cell lines and process primary tissues from various species.

+ Collaborate with supervisors to implement innovative assays in biomarker discovery.

+ Apply molecular biology techniques to study drug candidate mechanisms of action.

+ Manage laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted research activities.

+ Analyze, interpret, and report data in a timely and accurate manner.

+ Support multiple projects simultaneously in a highly matrixed team environment.

**Requirements:**

+ Bachelors degree in a related scientific discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree (or equivalent experience).

+ Strong hands-on experience with cell culture, including both established cell lines and primary immune cells.

+ Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as qPCR and nucleic acid extraction from tissues and cells.

+ Experience with laboratory technologies/instrumentation including QuantStudio 12K Flex, MSD, ProteinSimple WES, Qubit, Nanodrop, 10X Genomics, BioMek i7, Agilent Tapestation, and Illumina sequencing platforms.

+ Ability to independently design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret complex experiments.

+ Skilled in assay development, optimization, and validation.

+ Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

+ Competence in maintaining lab equipment and managing laboratory consumables.
