We are seeking a Process Engineer in the Seabrook, TX Area. This is a direct hire opportunity with a growing stable company & outstanding benefits!

This dynamic role works closely with the Engineering Manager to drive technical and process engineering efforts across Sales Opportunities and terminal operations. You'll support sales assessments, scope development, & hazard reviews. In addition, deliver process engineering and optimization across our utility and terminal systems, ranging from marine jetty infrastructure to utility flows, vapor lines, and safety system support. Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and QHSE to troubleshoot, improve, and guide system performance.

responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, sharing responsibilities and tasks depending on workloads.

  • Conduct initial assessments of new Sales Opportunities and coordinate with Project Managers (PMs) on engineering efforts.

  • Collaborate with PMs to develop Scope, Basis, Cost, and Schedule Estimates for Sales Opportunities, seeking Stakeholder approvals.

  • Provide process engineering support to assist PMs in scope development and review final packages before Stakeholder approval.

  • Actively participate in hazard reviews associated with Sales Opportunities and document outcomes.

  • Maintain and enhance the Cost Estimate Template, contributing to its updates and improvements.

  • Serve as an active member of the BRT Technical Review Committee, documenting key status elements in the BRT Checklist.

  • Liaise with Sales and Operations teams to ensure comprehensive information is recorded in the CRM and facilitate weekly Sales Opportunity updates.

  • Play a crucial role in COS (Customer Outfitting Services) management, coordinating and reporting, and supporting Sales with data needed for evaluations and outfitting.

  • Lead the optimization efforts for marine jetty and vapor return lines, adapting to changing needs and utility system requirements.

  • Provide process engineering support for various Terminal-related tasks, including incident investigations, utility optimizations, and addressing QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) limits.

  • Investigate incidents and issues related to chemical processes and utility systems, recommending solutions to enhance safety and efficiency.

  • Offer project support through detailed scope and design reviews, system installation inspections, and commissioning services to ensure safe and compliant system performance.

  • Continuously work on reducing incidents and improving Engineering productivity and quality across all aspects of the role.

  • Encourage and promote innovative ideas from team members and assist with engineering interviewing and training efforts.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, preferred Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering

  • 10+ Years experience in logistics & process and/or utility engineering at a chemical terminal, chemical plant, refinery or multi discipline engineering firm
