The QA Technician is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, finished devices, and processing non-conforming materials. This role supports quality assurance activities in a highly regulated environment for Class III medical devices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform incoming inspections according to inspection plan requirements
Conduct final quality release of finished devices
Prioritize multiple product lines to ensure a steady material flow
Identify, document, segregate, evaluate, and dispose of non-conforming materials
Maintain compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Perform other related duties as assigned
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Participate in lean projects to improve organizational efficiency
Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Procurement, Distribution, Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (e.g., inspection, material handling, warehouse fulfillment)
Basic PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
Intermediate PC skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds (more with assistance)
Visual acuity including near, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Prolonged sitting, standing, or walking depending on duties
