Seasonal Medical Laboratory Scientist - Chemistry

Positions range from permanent clinical float roles (Full time or Part Time) to Seasonal 13-week assignments with significantly higher base pay. Under general supervision, independently performs all levels of moderate and high complexity testing, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. Responsible for performing routine and specialized technical analyses. Operates and maintains instrumentation according to established laboratory procedures and protocols. Exercises independent judgement in recognizing and solving test related problems. Performs technical job duties as specified in CAP Regulations. Personnel Requirements for Tests of Moderate and High Complexity - Testing. Also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

• Must be currently licensed as a Medical Technologist by the State of Florida Department of Health in Immunology and Chemistry.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology.
• Experience with Epic Beaker, Abbott Instrumentation and automation preferred.
