We are seeking candidates with prior experience analyzing Biological Mass Spectrometry data with a fundamental knowledge of Protein characterization. Scientist Responsibilities: The scientist will conduct analytical experiments to support structural characterization and identification of biological macromolecules using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Protein Open-Access LC/MS platform and collaborating on mass spectrometry-based protein characterization efforts and biological assay development. The selected candidate should have familiarity with liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry instrumentation. Perform sample preparation. Knowledge of laboratory automation is desired but not required. The scientist will be expected to consistently work on multiple projects in parallel and be able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, must be an outstanding team player and possess excellent communication skills. Qualifications needed to be successful in this role: B.S or M.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or other physical sciences. Familiarity with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation. Mass spectrometry data interpretation. Fundamental knowledge with protein structure/characterization. Experience with molecular wave confirmation is a plus.
