Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician who understands and follows quality system documents relevant to responsibilities, including Quality Manuals, SOPs, and Methods. The position requires adherence to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed standards set by ISO/IEC, government regulatory (cGMP, GLP), and company requirements. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe work environment and demonstrating proficiency in core methods and lab equipment operation.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow Quality System documents such as Quality Manuals, SOPs, and Methods.
  • Adhere to quality measures to meet or exceed ISO/IEC, cGMP, GLP, and company standards.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in at least one core method and capability in another with minimal supervision.
  • Operate all required basic lab equipment within the department.
  • Set up and weigh batches of samples.
  • Perform timely and accurate analysis of samples, including preparation, method application, and data reduction.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Biology, Laboratory procedures, Chemistry, Wet Chemistry, and Pipetting.
  • Experience with HPLC, quality control, GMP, quality assurance, and microbiology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific field is strongly preferred.
  • If no Bachelor's degree, a High School Diploma and previous lab experience are required.
Work Environment

This is a 3-month seasonal contract position with a possibility of extending to 5-months based on workload and performance. The role operates on a 2nd shift from 4 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday to Saturday, with the flexibility to take any other day off during the week. The facility consists of approximately seven labs, focusing on fast-paced nutritional testing for various clients. The Proximate 2 department features a lot of new automated equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $20.30/hr.
