Job Title: Protein Scientist (Contractor)

Location: Chesterfield, MO

Duration: 6 months contract (with the possibility for extension/conversion)

Pay: $35-41/hr depending on education and experience level

Position Summary:

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a contract Protein Scientist for our Pharmaceutical partner in Chesterfield MO. If this sounds like you, now for instant consideration!

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Protein Scientist (Contractor) to support innovative research initiatives. This role involves performing protein quantification, characterization, identification, and related sample preparation to advance key R D projects. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in immunoassays, protein purification, and analytical techniques within a fast-paced, collaborative lab setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Protein Quantification & Identification

Perform ELISA assays (manual, semi-automated, and automated) for protein quantification

Conduct WES (automated western blotting) for protein identification and semi-quantification

Analyze and interpret data; document findings in LIMS and internal systems

Prepare samples for immunoassay workflows

Assist with d lab duties, including equipment maintenance

Protein Characterization (as needed)

Conduct SDS-PAGE and gel imaging

Perform protease digestion and time-course experiment analysis

Prepare samples for mass spectrometry

Protein Expression & Purification (as needed)

Express proteins using bacterial, yeast, or insect cell systems

Purify proteins using various chromatography techniques

Functional Protein Assays (as needed)

Conduct activity assays such as enzyme and binding assays

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field; or a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience

Proficient in ELISA and WES

Experience with LIMS and liquid handling systems

Familiarity with protein expression and purification techniques

Exposure to mass spectrometry workflows is a plus

Strong analytical, problem-solving, andanizational skills

Effective written and verbalmunication skills

Independent and proactive with strong project ownership

Pay Details: $35.00 to $41.00 per hour
