Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Performs a wide variety of laboratory tests by manual methods or use of various automated, mechanical or electronic devices. Performs the full range of duties from specimen procurement through data analysis and reporting, in order to provide data for use in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease in all areas of the lab. Is accountable for accurate results.

Required Qualifications:
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties such as DNA extraction, pcr, capillary electrophoresis, Southern blot, Sanger Sequencing and other molecular biology protocols
Must demonstrate ability to perform duties assigned with minimum supervision and ability to troubleshoot assays when problems arise
Knowledge and ability to use computer and computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Sequencing analysis software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a current CA license
At least one year of pertinent laboratory experience in a clinical molecular setting
Ability to interact in a professional manner with all individuals across the Health System
Ability to follow laboratory policies and procedures
Ability to establish and maintain effective work practices appropriate to the workload assigned
