As a Research Chemist , you will join the Silica business unit in QEMETICA to support the Physical Testing Labs to lead new product development and business support projects by testing physical and performance properties for both experimental and production precipitated silica samples and rubber test parts containing these silica products. You will work directly with your colleagues in the Silica R D team to confirm testing protocols and execute test plans. You will ensure safe and efficient work while achieving important deliverables and drive continuous improvement. You will be located onsite at the Research Center in Monroeville, PA and report to the Research Manager. Responsibilities: Conduct physical and analytical testing of silica and rubber-based materials. Maintain lab equipment and ensure testing accuracy through regular calibration. Collaborate with R D teams to develop and execute test plans. Ensure lab compliance with safety, environmental, and ISO 9001 standards. Document and communicate accurate test results, procedures, and findings. Contribute to the development of SOPs and support R D projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. 0-3 years of experience in a chemical lab environment. Strong commitment to lab safety and compliance. Proficiency in analytical testing methods and lab instrumentation. Effective communication skills for technical documentation and presentations. Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Excel and workplace organization systems like 5S.
