Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, attentive, and self-driven candidate to join our team, Biologics Pivotal Formulation and Process Development, as a Senior Research Associate. Once onboarded, the successful candidate will contribute in developing formulation and drug product processes for innovative molecules. The candidate will have tremendous opportunities for career growth in a fast-paced and resource-rich environment through training and professional relationships. The ideal candidate is expected to be action oriented with high expectations of themselves and others. S/he should have good verbal and written communication interpersonal skills.
At a future date this position will relocate to the corporate HQ in Foster City, CA
ResponsibilitiesSupport formulation and drug process development, including formulation development, Drug Product manufacturing process development, and clinical in-use evaluations
Operates laboratory instrumentation and/or processing equipment and can train others to conduct simple experiments.
Executes and may begin designing low complexity experiments in support of cross-functional projects.
Troubleshoots basic analytical methods and instrument operation.
Performs drug substance, drug product intermediate and drug product characterization.
May support manufacturing of development batches for drug product.
Works collaboratively with peers from other departments.
May assist in training less experienced colleagues on techniques required for their duties, while ensuring that quality, safety and environmental standards are maintained.
Summarizes experimental results and presents at team meetings and department presentations.
Authors templated memos and reports with limited guidance.
Basic Qualifications
AA & 5+ years of relevant experience; OR
BA / BS & 2+ years of relevant experience; OR
MA / MS & 0+ years of relevant experience
Degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific fields
At a future date this position will relocate to the corporate HQ in Foster City, CA
Preferred Qualifications
Industry experience in biologics CMC development
Experience working in a laboratory setting strongly preferred
Strong desire and ability to learn new skills and excel in a fast-moving, dynamic and evolving environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
Organized and strong ability to work independently in multiple complex workflows.
