About the Role
As a Laboratory Scientist at GSK, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our products through compliant testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts. You will operate to the highest standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) while maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment. Your work will directly contribute to delivering safe and reliable products to patients worldwide.
This is a site-based role on 2 days 2 nights shift basis, they are 12 hours shifts 6am -6pm.
In this role you will
- Sample, test, report, and validate final products, intermediates, raw materials, and in-process samples in line with defined procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate a wide range of analytical equipment to ensure accurate and precise results.
- Apply theoretical and practical knowledge to troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation.
- Operate laboratory information systems to interpret and report results efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements to safeguard product quality and safety.
- Work collaboratively to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Complete actions arising from internal and external audit commitments.
- Manage laboratory chemicals and consumables to maintain an organized and compliant workspace.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- HND or equivalent in an appropriate scientific discipline.
- Technical knowledge and practical experience in analytical science, with the ability to work independently and solve complex problems.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Proficiency in laboratory data handling systems and analytical techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to escalate issues as needed.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and safety in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:
- Degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related discipline.
