Research Associate II - Tang Lab

Researcher who is competent in cellular, molecular and viral procedures and have mouse colony management experiences. Will be involved in lab management like ordering and inventory maintenance. Specific techniques include molecular cloning (Gibson assembly, PCR, gel electrophoresis, restriction digest), cell culture (293T cells, cancer cell lines), DNA transfection (PEI, lipofectamine), Western Blot, Viral production (MLV, AAV), Fluorescent Activated Cell Sorting. Advanced technique including next-generation sequencing. Basic image processing and analysis. Basic statistics like statistical significance testing.

Preferred experiences with softwares include Prism, Excel, Python, MATLAB, ImageJ. Will work on a project on bioengineering, in a collaborative team and help lab operations. Important to be proactive and takes initiatives and communicative. High tolerance for uncertainty and willing to take action to solve problems.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related field.At least five (5) years of related laboratory experience.

Required Credentials

Preferred
Master's Degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related field.Familiarity with computers, and experience analyzing data using spreadsheets and statistical analysis.

Compensation Range

$28.44 - $42.66 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
