JOB SUMMARY
Following all compliance with cGMP, GLPs, and other regulatory guidelines including Shiseidos guidelines, the primary responsibility of this position is to conduct necessary analyses in the QC Analytical Lab related to product release for raw materials, bulk products, finished goods, stability samples and investigation samples.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will maintain a clean and safe lab environment as well as data integrity.
- You will conduct accurate quality control testing using standard laboratory techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV, ICP, KF, FTIR, and wet chemical methods like titrations according to standard operating procedures/current USP methods and report data in data management systems such as LIMS / ELN / SAP when applicable.
- You may be required to conduct investigations of Out of Specification or Out of Trending (OOS / OOT) and write investigation reports.
- You will perform method transfer, data entry and prepare documents with administrative duties as needed.
- You will dispose of all laboratory waste properly and clean QC glassware.
- You may be required to draft, write, revise / update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and WIs (Work Instructions).
- You will maintain calibration / inspection records and technical documents.
- You may be required to assist in the creation and maintenance of lab non-conformance and document change control.
- You will provide coverage for technicians or other chemists and respond to stakeholders emails as needed.
- You will perform training for other members as needed.
- You may be required to work overtime/weekend operations according to business needs.
- You may be assigned other duties as needed.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have a bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with a focus in Chemistry.
- You have good experience of analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, UV and wet chemistry. ICP-OES, GC and FTIR experience is desired but not required.
- You are familiar with USP / NF Monographs / ACS compendia etc.
- You have a minimum of 2-5 years experience as a lab technician or a similar chemist role, with experience in analytical instrumentation mentioned above, familiarity of USP / NF / ACS and cGMP / GLPs.
- You can observe, evaluate, summarize, and apply meaningful data in the problem-solving process. And have the level of logical reasoning necessary to connect required actions to desired outcomes.
- You can forecast events based upon current situations and demonstrate skill in generating alternative solutions for the problem.
- You have a depth of knowledge of analytical instruments and understanding of required principles of performance and technical skills applied to the position accountabilities.
- You can predict, recognize, and define problems and have skills in generating, selecting, and implementing timely and meaningful solutions.
- You emphasize creating and maintaining a safe work environment and working with all safety standards and procedures in mind to ensure accidents are avoided.
- You can utilize time and resources well as compared to our standard work output and efficiency levels.
- You are self-motivated and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- You must be a team player with a positive attitude, self-motivated and results driven.
- You must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft applications, Excel, Word, Power point. LIMS and SAP knowledge would be beneficial.
