**Position Summary**
As a Staff Software Development Engineer with CVS Health, you will participate on a product team of 6-10 people (engineers, UX designers, and product manager) and work with the team to build high-quality, usable products to customers and stakeholders. This role supports a very high impact area of our business that relates to Pharma Rebates and involves enhancements and developing client facing solutions.
You will help educate both business and technology personnel on the development process and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery. You will also maintain a user-centered and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice. A firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies is crucial for success in the role.
Responsibilities
+ Work in a collaborative environment, contributing to Agile team
+ Lead the design of efficient and user-friendly software products to advance and support business needs
+ Develop frontend and backend code utilizing test-driven development
**Required Qualifications**
+ 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development with 2+ years of experience in a technical lead role
+ 7+ years of experience with developing applications/web services and cloud-native apps using technologies like Java and Angular, React (may consider combo of React with Angular), Spring Boot, REST API, JPA, messaging and other tech stacks (open-source and proprietary)
+ 5+ years of experience with agile development
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Heavy experience with Angular v8+ with Java and Spring boot
+ Strong demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and cross functional relationships as well as develop solutions from start to delivery.
+ Candidates with a collaborative and proactive mindset ready to dig in with the broader team and build amazing products that truly align with the business
+ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$106,605.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the companys equity award program.
