Position Summary This position conducts research by independently performing components of a research project or program as directed by a senior research team member. The Research Associate II will be involved in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of research projects. Will independently conduct work complementary to the overall research objectives, including data management, analysis, and report writing. Duties & Responsibilities Develop and implement evaluation plans for an array of education, public health, and social service programs in close coordination with the programs' staff. Develop and administer data collection instruments, including surveys and guided interviews. Conduct and present data analysis findings. Provide technical assistance to partner organizations on data collection, management, and reporting. Prepare high-quality, professional reports and presentations for a variety of audiences using data visualization techniques Proactively identify and address issues impacting evaluation quality, timeliness, or client satisfaction. Create evaluation plans for new grant proposals as requested by clients. Prepare and submit IRB applications. Prepare and contribute statistical data and pertinent information for peer-reviewed publications, grants, and other documents. Build and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations by emphasizing high-quality customer service and effective communication. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications A master's degree in social science or a related field (degree must be conferred by the start date). A minimum of one year of related research experience. Knowledge of research concepts, practices, and procedures. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and experience setting up and conducting evaluations and preparing reports for federal, state, and local grant projects using sound research methods. Advanced statistical knowledge and appropriate statistical software, such as SAS, SPSS, or R, and data management and visualization techniques. Ability to design, administer, and analyze surveys, including online survey implementation. Qualities such as responsiveness, flexibility, and willingness to accommodate clients' timelines and information needs are vital.
