Job Title: Gas & Chemical Technician
Location: Tualatin, OR
Pay Rate: $27.00/hr
Shift Schedule:
Training: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Permanent Shift: Front-End Swing Shift, 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Overview:
We are seeking a Gas & Chemical Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-purity gas and chemical distribution systems used in advanced manufacturing.
This is a career-track opportunity offering comprehensive on-the-job training (OJT), technical certification programs, and a clear path for advancement across five technician levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform cylinder and drum changes on chemical and gas distribution systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues across 500+ pieces of distribution equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Support installation, decommissioning, and repair of gas systems, precursor delivery systems, and bulk chemical distribution systems.
Promote a safety-first culture with a ZERO incident goal.
Participate in quality management and basic safety processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1+ year of experience in equipment maintenance or technician role
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with gas and chemical distribution systems
Military training (e.g., Navy Nuclear Program or Mechanical Technician)
Additional Requirements:
Must pass a physical exam and qualitative respirator fit test
Random drug testing is conducted, including THC screening
All candidates must complete onboarding documentation and NDA prior to start
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship provided)
