Kelly Science is currently recruiting for a Lab Technician with a Refinery in the Corpus Christi, TX area. In this role, you will be a core member of the Quality Control (QC) lab team, focusing on testing and analyzing materials.
Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect, test, and release lithium materials according to QC lab procedures.
  
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized lab space.
  
• Operate and maintain various lab equipment, including ICP-OES, for material characterization.
  
• Conduct chemical and physical analyses using advanced techniques like ICP-OES, Tap Density, PSA, XRD, and IC.
  
• Document all test data accurately and precisely in the quality database.
  
• Continuously improve lab processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and minimize waste.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, or relevant experience (or equivalent experience).
  
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in an analytical lab, preferably with metallurgy, inorganic chemistry, or materials science.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  
• Experience with advanced analytical techniques for material characterization is a must.
  
• Excellent organizational, data management, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  
• Strong safety focus and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and communicate fluently in English (written and verbal).

Job Details:

• Competitive hourly rate $28-30 per hour. BOE
  
• Flexible work schedule during training (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm, transitioning to a 24-hour Dupont rotating schedule 5 days on and 5 days off 5am-5pm).
