Reports To:Laboratory Supervisor
Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PCR Lab Technicianto join our molecular diagnostics team in West Hartford. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in biology and hands-on experience with PCR techniques. You will be responsible for preparing samples, running PCR assays, and supporting research and diagnostic workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine and specializedPCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)testing
- Prepare and manage biological samples and reagents
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Record and analyze test results with accuracy
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards
- Collaborate with team members on research and diagnostic projects
- Bachelors degree inBiology,Biochemistry, or a related field
- Experience with PCR techniques (academic, internship, or professional)
- Familiarity with DNA/RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, and lab protocols
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- qPCR or RT-PCR experience
- Prior work in a clinical or research lab setting
- Knowledge of LIMS or other lab data systems

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
