QC Chemist (2nd Shift)

We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Chemist to join our client's team on a direct hire basis. In this role, you'll be responsible for testing raw materials and finished products, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring quality standards are met. This is a great opportunity for someone with a science background who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
Shift: 2nd shift- 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Location: Bowling Green, SC Area
Rate: $22-$26/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Perform quality testing on lab samples using established procedures and precise methodologies
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as Particle Size Analyzer, FTIR, Viscometer, Karl Fischer, and Microscope
Record, analyze, and communicate test results to the production team for timely decision-making
Recommend formula adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency
Manage product labeling through WERCS and maintain accurate batch records in SAP
Prepare and package customer samples for shipment
Keep laboratory equipment calibrated, clean, and organized
Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe, compliant work environment
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality standards
Qualifications:
AS or BS Degree in Chemistry or a related field
1-2 years of laboratory experience preferred
Basic understanding of chemistry and lab techniques
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with SAP is a plus
