Our client, a leading organization in the biotechnology industry, is seeking a Downstream Associate Scientist to join their team. As a Downstream Associate Scientist, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-functional team environment, which will align successfully with the organization.
Job Title: Downstream Associate Scientist
Location: King of Prussia, PA
Pay Range: $28.50 per hour
Duration: 12 months contract, with possible extension to 18 months
What's the Job?
Preparation of buffer solutions and execution of chromatographic separation, filtration, and concentration operations.
Completing daily manufacturing tasks per standard operating procedures and batch document instructions.
Documenting all manufacturing activities clearly and accurately to ensure compliance.
Working with hazardous materials while adhering to appropriate safety procedures.
Performing cleaning in place (CIP) and sterilization in place (SIP) of product tanks.
What's Needed?
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or other engineering or scientific field.
Familiarity with protein purification process operations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations.
Preferred: 1+ years of direct purification experience in a Pilot Plant or manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of cGMP guidelines and standards.
Proficiency in executing standard procedures and the ability to author and revise SOPs.
