We're looking for a passionate and curious QC Associate Scientist to join our team. This role provides routine and non-routine QC sample management operations in support of our GMP manufacturing operations at the Seattle and Redmond, WA GMP facilities. These efforts support GMP manufacturing activities for biotherapeutic products.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform routine and non-routine QC sample management operations; handle test samples throughout the sample lifecycle: receipt, storage, distribution, transfer, and disposal. Facilitate cold chain transfers of samples.

  • Ensure samples and materials are appropriately labelled and maintain sample tracking, labelling and chain of custody records in accordance with regulatory requirements and written procedures.

  • Maintain inventory and distribution of QC samples and materials to functional groups as scheduled or requested.

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of GMP documentation.

  • Record performance metrics for the sample management group.

  • Support identification and implementation of process efficiencies.

  • Communicate effectively with management regarding task completion, roadblocks, and needs.

  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization through routine disinfection of laboratory surfaces and equipment, inventory management, and participation in 5S activities.

  • Perform all work in compliance with site quality, and safety guidelines.

  • Create, maintain, and revise SOPs, methods and associated documents.

  • Support all operations of the QC labs including the ordering supplies and maintaining laboratory equipment and lab spaces.

  • Support client audit/inspection readiness plans and interact with regulatory agencies during inspections on sample management related matters.

  • Participate in daily and weekly operation meetings.

Who You Are:

  • BS in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field and 12 months plus experience.

  • Laboratory experience with sample handling/management.

  • High attention to detail and organized.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $78,000 to $83,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual's skills, experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
