As a Senior Chemist / Senior Engineer you will LEAD by.
We are searching for a professional like you to join our team. In this role, you will be working independently for the development, optimization, and application ofdiesel vehicle exhaustcatalysts to meet strict legislative emissions regulations.Per customer specific requirement or internal component/system development needs, you will lead design experiment, review and analyze testing data, process to generate report and present data to external customers or internal stakeholders. To that end, you are expected to work closely with R&D scientists, lab technicians, application engineers, testing engineers, process engineers and prototype sample lab. You are also expected to interact with sales and marketing functions.You prior experience and proven expertise in heterogenous catalysis or vehicle exhaust aftertreatment, especially in diesel emission catalyst field is highly valued. Knowledge in modeling and simulation is a plus.
Responsibilities:
A core member of the emissions catalyst R&D and Application organization, which develops catalytic solutions for diesel and gasoline engine powered vehicles.
Responsibility includes, but not limited to, developing catalyst formulation concepts, supervising technician on laboratory sample preparation, working with Process Development on scale-up, designing and defining testing plan, coordinating catalyst aging and testing, critically reviewing, and analyzing testing data from lab reactors or engine benches, generating external or internal reports, and presenting to technical audience, incl. external customers.
Partner with customer facing application engineer(s) on various technical topics and programs. Most common ones are developing catalyst formulation that meets customer-specific technical requirements and performing real-world or competitive sample analysis.
This role will work closely with other scientists who are responsible for material development or other engineers who are responsible component and system demonstration on reactor and engine or the application to specific customer engine platforms.
Interact with internal prototype sample lab at production site and reactor or engine testing teams in catalyst R&D.
Your elements for success
Ph.D. plus 2-years or M.S. plus 5-years experience, major in Chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field. Outstanding Ph.D. candidates are also encouraged to apply.
Strong knowledge and publication inheterogenous catalysisis required.
Preferred experience in vehicle exhaust emission control aftertreatment research, development, or application.
Preferred experience in data analysis of chemically reactive flow, especially with gaseous flow systems (reactor or engine testing).
Automotive OEM or Tier 1&2 supplier experience is preferable but not mandatory.
Strong communication (incl. written and presentation) skillsets.
